I have long been interested in geometric abstract art so, after retiring in 2017, I decided the opportunity had come to give painting the commitment it needs. The exploration of geometric patterns and structures built from simple geometric forms are my main interest. There are endless possibilities, allowing subtly different interplays between form and colour to be explored. Usually they suit a grid-based format on a square canvas.
Major influences are Mondrian and Der Stijl, the Delaunays, Vasarely, De Stael and the Post Painterly Abstract artists.
All works are for sale unless otherwise stated. Please contact me for more detail. Canvases are painted around the sides so can be hung without frames if desired. They are listed with the most recent at the top. The colour reproduction will inevitably not quite be correct in the images here and their effect is I think limited by being shown at a fraction of full size.
